NO INTEREST
Son Heung-min has said that he is going alright at his current club Bayer Leverkusen and he doesn’t have interests in making an away move to Bayern Munich in near future.
The Bundesliga table toppers were reported to be willing to secure the services of the young winger who belongs to South Korea, but, now, after Son’s statements, it doesn’t seem that they would be able to fulfil their wishes.
Son had signed for Leverkusen last summer after leaving Hamburger SV and he has proved to be a useful addition for the German club. Whatever opportunities he has got so far, he has made the most of it and as a result, he has managed to catch the eyes of top clubs.
The 21 years old player has played 21 Bundesliga matches for his new club till now and has struck 7 times.
Son has a fantastic record at international level as well. Despite being so young, he has already played a handful of matches for the senior team of South Korea and has scored some important goals too.
In one of his interviews a few days ago when he was asked about Bayern Munich being interested in him, he said, “I don’t have any reason to move to somewhere else. I am having a great time at Leverkusen at the moment.”
“Bayern is surely one of the greatest sides, but, the competition for places there is more than any other club. At this stage of my career, the most important thing for me is to get regular playing chances and I am getting that at Leverkusen. Apart from that, I am enjoying myself too here.”
Leverkusen is at the second position in the Bundesliga table with 37 points in 17 games.
