MULLER HUNGRIER THAN EVER
The Bayern Munich striker Thomas Müller has said that he feels that the German club are hungry for more titles than ever. Bayern Munich come on the back of the two disappointing seasons both in the domestic and international front. They have lost to Borussia Dortmund in the league and consecutive occasions, while they have also been defeated in the Champions League final twice in the last three seasons. Thomas Müller has said that such defeats help spur the team to perform even better in order to win trophies. He has said that he is confident that Bayern Munich can finally lift the league title for the first time in three seasons.
The striker will turn 23 years of age in the next week. He is one of the sought-after players in world football. However, he has said that he has no intention of leaving Bayern Munich and plans to win more trophies with the German club. Bayern Munich have made some significant signings with a view of finally lifting a trophy this season. They have recently signed the former athletic Bilbao midfielder Javi Martinez for around € 40 million, thus making him a record signing this summer.
“We have found an opponent, which is really strong. If we manage to win the title this season, we will take much pleasure in it here in Munich. We are by all means fired up for this season. FC Bayern is not a club you absolutely have to leave. We start every season with great ambitions and the chances to succeed are pretty high as well. Over the last three years we have been in the Champions League final two times – and did not win it. We still have a score to settle,” said the German international in a recent interview.
