Guardiola Secures First Title With Bayern Munich

Pep Guardiola has officially secured his 1st league title with Bayern Munich since being appointed as the head coach of the German side. The last match of the Bundesliga was played on May 10 and a lonely goal from Claudio Pizarro saw Bayern Munich defeating Stuttgart.

Even though Bayern Munich was knocked out of the Champions League after losing against Real Madrid, Guardiola is still enjoying an impressive and dominant debut season with the German team as he won the league title with more than 5 matches remaining and they are favorites on winning the DFB Pokal Cup as they have to lock horns against their rivals Borussia Dortmund on May 17.

After securing the Bundesliga title, Pep Guardiola went on praising the work that his players have made in this entire season as the Spanish coach stated that winning the league trophy is the most important piece of silverware to win in anyone’s debut season.

“I’m happy and very proud of the whole club this season. Maybe for some people it’s just another Bundesliga title but for me it’s my first one. It’s the most important title this term. Winning your domestic league is always the best title because you have to play week after week.”

“I’m very proud of this team and these players. The beer is cold! It’s all okay now after having a proper shower. I’m happy!” Guardiola said.

Pep Guardiola is expected to remain being in charge of Bayern Munich for the upcoming and battle once more against the best teams in Europe in the Champions League.

When Real Madrid eliminated Bayern Munich from the Champions League, Pep Guardiola accepted all the blame of their loss but the Spanish coach stated that he will continue using his tactics and playing style which he is known for.
