Bayern Munich manager Jupp Heynckes has hinted that he may not continue with another managerial job after the end of the season. He will be stepping down as the Bayern Munich manager this season, but he is not interested in joining another club as the manager. The 68-year-old has said that he is not interested in signing a new contract with a Bundesliga club, while he is also too old to be interested in a management job abroad. This would likely see him retire at the end of the season, although he did not confirm the same.

Jupp Heynckes will be taking his players to Wembley in order to take part in the Champions League final against archrivals Borussia Dortmund on May 25. This is the second consecutive season in which Bayern have reached the final, but Heynckes will be hoping that this experience rewards him with a trophy. Heynckes has already guided Bayern Munich to the Bundesliga title in record time. There are also in with a chance of winning the DFB Pokal Cup as well. If they win the remaining two cup competitions, it would be the first time for any German team to achieve this historic treble.

“Saturday will be my last Bundesliga game as a coach. If I was 15 years younger I would seriously think about a job abroad but I am not the youngest any more. Clubs want to do a generation change and you cannot really do it with a 68-year-old. I will probably say something about my future in June after the German Cup final,” said the 68-year-old, who has been in charge of Bayern Munich for three spells. He is currently the second highest manager when it comes to the most number of Bundesliga games managed. He has been in charge of 641 German league matches.
